Community Profile

We promote the development of values through our community profile.

The aim of all IB programmes is to develop internationally minded people who, recognizing their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet help to create a better and more peaceful world. Our teachers are committed to building a safe and comfortable environment for our students to develop emotionally and in their learning. This would not be possible without the support of parents who understand the importance of school-family collaboration. It is expected that when a family joins our community, they show solidarity and respect with our profile and commit to actively incorporate these values into their own conduct.

Our goal is that all the HB community (students, teachers and parents), display the twelve characteristics of the Hiram Bingham profile. The first two characteristics, being authentic and being resilient, are exclusive to our school. The other ten characteristics form part of the International Baccalaureate student profile. We also expect our staff and HB parents to model these attributes.

Each characteristic is listed below and by clicking on each one you can see a brief description.

Please click on the following leaflet, which shows in detail what we hope for from the Hiram Bingham parents.
