PYP Exhibition

Learning within the Primary Years Programme (PYP) offers numerous formal and informal opportunities for students to demonstrate the development and application of their knowledge, conceptual understanding, skills, and attributes outlined in the learning community profile through their research efforts. The PYP exhibition serves as a clear illustration of these opportunities.

All International Baccalaureate (IB) programs include a culminating learning experience in the final year: the PYP exhibition, the Personal Project in the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Extended Essay in the Diploma Programme (DP), and the Reflective Project in the Career-related Programme (CP).

During the PYP exhibition, students exhibit their comprehension of a chosen topic or opportunity they have chosen to explore. They conduct their research both independently and collaboratively with their peers, under the guidance of a mentor. Through the exhibition, students not only demonstrate their ability to take ownership of their learning but also showcase their capacity for proactive engagement by actively participating in the planning, presentation, and evaluation of their learning.

The exhibition becomes a compelling display of students’ agency and the agency of the community that has nurtured them throughout their years in the PYP. The learning community actively supports the exhibition, celebrating the growth of internationally minded students who positively impact not only their own lives but also the lives of others.
