Our school

Asociación Educacional JLN Hope del Peru was created in 1980 with the purpose of founding a bilingual school. The school began in a house in San Isidro and in 1985 we moved to our own premises in Paseo La Castellana.

The school was only for girls, until 1998, when boys joined us in the Infants section and then in 2002 lateral entries of boys into the Senior school began. The first promotion graduated in 1990.

Our first promotion of International Baccalaureate students graduated in 1999 with 60% of the promotion obtaining the Diploma. For many years now, usually, more than 80% of each promotion obtains the IB Diploma. This makes Hiram Bingham the school in Peru which consistently has the highest percentage of the entire leaving promotion obtaining an IB Diploma.

WE WERE THE FIRST SCHOOL IN PERU TO RECEIVE FULL AUTHORIZATION TO TEACH THE THREE PROGRAMMES OF THE INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE. PYP, MYP DIPLOMA

At present our school is recognized internationally for our high academic standards and for the dedication of the teachers with their students.
